The Civic Action Hub is an initiative supported by Taiwan’s Ministry of Digital Affairs that connects civic innovators with local governments to develop and validate digital solutions for real-world public challenges.

This year’s theme is “Technology for Disaster Resilience.” Participants are invited to address one of four challenges proposed by local governments in Taiwan:

•    Disaster reporting
•    Disaster-prevention training
•    Volunteer and resource management
•    Real-time emergency reporting

The programme welcomes students, developers, designers, researchers, and civic innovators from different academic and professional backgrounds. Selected teams will work directly with local governments to conduct field validation and pilot their proposed solutions.

Registration is open until 19 August 2026 at 12:00 noon (Taiwan time).
