The role of the CNDP is to enforce and ensure the correct implementation of participatory democracy procedures provided for by law or promoted voluntarily by the public authorities. These procedures are used to have citizens express themselves on projects and public policies with a high socio-economic and environmental impact and to enable decision-makers to be informed by the contributions and opinion of the general public.
