Citizens' Panel on food waste

Citizens' Panel on food waste

Description

On 16-18 December, the first citizens’ panel organized by the Commission, following on the Conference on the Future of Europe, will take place in Brussels. Around 150 EU citizens are invited to participate and exchange views and insights on how to step up action to reduce food waste in the EU. The panel will meet three times between December 2022 and February 2023. The outcome of this panel will be citizens’ recommendations to support the Commission’s work on food waste, including the legislative proposal to set EU food waste reduction targets.

It is possible to follow via web stream the plenary session:

On 17 December, discussions will take place in small working groups, which will not be web-streamed.
