Parliament Innovations for Democracy Support

Parliament Innovations for Democracy Support

Description

The Democracy Support and Election Coordination Group of the European Parliament (DEG) and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) are delighted to invite you to this Conference.

The conference, "Parliament Innovations for Democracy Support" aims to assess the various experiences in democratic innovations undertaken by parliaments in recent years. It seeks to explore the extent to which such tools can support parliamentary functions and strengthen the link to citizens, thereby enhancing the legitimacy of representative democracy. The conference will also delve into the concrete impact of these innovations on political systems and the institutional follow-up to the conclusions of these assemblies. Additionally, it will address the emergence of virtual participation forms and their impact on parliaments and draw some ideas for future reflection.
