5th Citizen Participation and Deliberative Democracy Festival updates
We are very much looking forward to welcoming many of you in person in Brussels, 12-14 June 2024! For these three days the Atrium of CDMA building (Rue du Champ de Mars 21) will become the meeting point for policymakers, practitioners and researchers in citizen participation, stakeholders and members of CSOs to discuss, learn about and celebrate the opportunities brought by the involvement of citizens in science and policymaking on issues ranging between biodiversity protection, energy transition, agriculture, urban planning, climate adaptation – to name just few.
Meanwhile, we want to invite you all to explore the Festival website, where you can find more information about this year’s main theme, meet the Festival team and read about the past editions. Under ‘Agenda,’ you can already read about specific focus areas, which will offer a deep dive into a different aspect of engaging citizens in addressing environmental issues, with the daily programmes planned as integral wholes consisting of interventions addressing the issues under discussion from different angles and in different formats. You can also browse the first entries in our online Exhibition of projects and resources. We continue collecting proposals until the end of March, so if you have developed a participatory process or resource addressing environmental issues and want to share it with the wider community do send us your submission.
Watch this space for news as we will be opening registrations in April.
