How can the Joint Research Centre (JRC) participate in calls HORIZON-CL2-2024-DEMOCRACY

Submitted by Paulo ROSA on

Through its Competence Centre on Participatory and Deliberative Democracy (JRC CC-DEMOS), the JRC can participate in these calls by:

1.taking part in an advisory boards of the project selected for funding.

2.hosting a community of practice and networking: The JRC CC-DEMOS hosts a Community of Practice (CoP) gathering policymakers, researchers and practitioners working within the area of deliberative democracy and citizen engagement. The CoP website includes a discussion forum for information exchange and networking, as well as databases of projects and organisations. Horizon Europe consortia can join the Community of Practice, gaining access to all the functionalities of the portal, the knowledge disseminated to all members of the CoP and the networking opportunities.

3.capacity building on citizen engagement: JRC CC-DEMOS is building capacity in the field of citizen engagement in policymaking through training it organises for policymakers and scientists. Trainings are conceptualised in-house and are offered in different modalities to respond to needs of different target audiences. Hence, CC-DEMOS can support consortia in customised training activities on citizen engagement in science and policymaking.

4.JRC Makerspace in Ispra, Italy. The JRC-run Makerspace can be made available to members of the consortia for unpaid short residencies.
